Electra Cruiser Bikes

Electra's slogan is 'Way to Roll' and they offer a large variety of ways in which to do so. Of the five styles of bicycles the company offers there are about fifty different options of Cruiser bicycles in twenty-one design categories for women to choose from with names like with names like Butterfly, Gypsy and Karma. For men there are about twenty options in sixteen designs with names like Hillbilly, Ghost rider and Super Deluxe. (There is a separate category of children's bicycles.) Each offers a sleek, classic take on the traditional beach cruiser without the weight and bulk of those earlier models.

Electra alleges their bikes to be way more than a mere means of getting some exercise or traveling from point A to point B. According to them, riding one of their bicycles is a smooth and efficient, transformative experience, catering to your own personal sense of style, adventure and imagination. The flat foot pedaling style realigns the body making it possible to sit upright, promising for a more comfortable ride as you cycle about.

The company claims its steel and aluminum framed bikes are built to last a lifetime. This is a great purchase incentive as the bike's carry a (limited) lifetime warranty for their original owners. However, some of the Men's cruisers have had recalls issued for those with the front tray design because of a potential fall hazard.

Electra's main office is in the USA but their bikes are sold internationally. The company manufactures three other types of bikes as well.
